Growing Talent: Apprenticeship Program at Zoerkler

Since September, a new apprentice has joined the Zoerkler team – and for the first time, we now have two young women among our eleven apprentices. The training focuses on metal technology with a specialization in machining technology – a field that requires precision, technical understanding, and a passion for working with metal.

Zoerkler offers motivated young people and career changers the opportunity to complete a three-year apprenticeship as a metal technician specializing in machining technology. Apprentices gain hands-on experience in all key production areas – including turning, milling, grinding, and gear cutting – and also receive insights into production planning and quality assurance.

A highlight of the program is the apprenticeship with A-levels, which Zoerkler actively supports. It combines:

• Practical training in the company
• Theoretical education at vocational school
• General education in the A-level course

This dual path allows apprentices to gain a solid professional qualification while also preparing for future academic or international career opportunities.
