Helicopter transmission systems: from development to serial production
For a civil transport helicopter we were commissioned to develop a completely new transmission system. Decisive for the project award was the high technological competence of our team and the focus on highest quality and precision. The innovative drive system consists of a main and tail gearbox and main and tail rotor shaft.
The civil helicopter has been specially developed to carry out emergency medical transport flights even under extreme weather conditions. The helicopter of the 6,5 ton class has room for 17 passengers including the pilot and is equipped with two Turbomeca Ardiden 3G engines in addition to the Austrian transmission system. The range is 750 km at a maximum speed of 310 km/h.
