As part of the international Xtrac Group, Zoerkler Gears develops, manufactures, and tests high‑precision drive systems for the aerospace and automotive industries. Our passion for precision makes us a leading company in drivetrain technology – and we are looking for motivated apprentices (m/f/d) for our site in Jois.

We offer dedicated young people as well as technically interested career changers the opportunity to complete a practice-oriented apprenticeship as a Metal Technician specializing in Machining Technology.
Working alongside experienced specialists, you will develop step by step into an expert in machining technology. During your apprenticeship, you will pass through all production-relevant areas – including turning, milling, grinding, gear cutting – and you will also gain insights into work preparation and quality assurance.
Would you like to go the extra mile? We are happy to support you in completing your apprenticeship with A‑levels (Lehre mit Matura) and in developing your personal and professional skills.

What you will learn with us:
- Programming and operating CNC machines in the areas of turning, milling, grinding, gear cutting, EDM, etc.
- Carrying out quality controls
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Manufacturing, assembling, and mounting components and gear units according to plans and instructions
What you bring:
- Completed compulsory schooling (technical focus an advantage)
- Enthusiasm for technology and manual skills
- Accuracy, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Motivation for new challenges
- Basic English skills (for international projects and documentation)

The current apprentice compensation for the Metal Technician apprenticeship is:
1st year: € 1,071
2nd year: € 1,295.40
3rd year: € 1,657.50
4th year: € 2,152.20 gross per month
