Helicopter Drive Systems: From Development to Series Production
Zoerkler was commissioned to develop a complete drive system for a civil transport helicopter from scratch. The decisive factors for awarding the project were our team's advanced technological expertise and our unwavering commitment to quality and precision.
The innovative drive system includes the main and tail gearboxes as well as the main and tail rotor shafts, all designed to meet the demanding requirements of extreme operational conditions. The 6.5-ton class helicopter is specifically engineered for medical emergency transport missions under severe weather conditions and accommodates up to 17 passengers including crew.
Powered by two Turbomeca Ardiden 3G engines and Zoerkler's Austrian-developed transmission system, the helicopter achieves a range of 750 km and a maximum speed of 310 km/h.
